At Open Heart Care Initiative, we believe that the true essence of Valentine’s Day isn’t found in boxes of chocolate or bouquets of flowers, but in the hands extended to help those in need. This February, our team took to the heart of our community to prove that love is a powerful tool for social change.

While the world celebrated romantic love, we celebrated community love. Our “Love in Action” outreach was designed to reach the vulnerable—those who often feel forgotten during festive seasons.

Healing Hearts and Filling Plates

True to our mission of providing holistic relief, this year’s outreach focused on three core pillars:

1. Nutrition for the Needy: We distributed over  120 food relief packs to families in Alagbole, Cele bustop. For many, this wasn’t just a gift; it was the security of knowing where their next meal would come from.

2. Medical Compassion: Our medical team conducted free health screenings, providing essential check-ups and medications to elderly residents and children who lack regular access to healthcare.

3. Spreading Joy: Beyond the physical gifts, our volunteers spent the day sharing stories, laughter, and encouragement. We believe that emotional support is just as vital as physical relief.
